PAM Urges Public to Report Midday Work Ban Violations via WhatsApp

Employers found violating the summer work ban face legal penalties, file suspension, and continued inspection campaigns.

The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has allocated a dedicated WhatsApp number (24936192) for citizens and residents to report violations involving workers employed in open areas during the midday work ban.

The authority urged the public to report any instances of workers being made to work outdoors during the prohibited hours, noting that the WhatsApp number has been designated for direct communication with its inspection and monitoring teams.

PAM stressed that employing workers in open areas during the restricted midday period is a violation of the work ban decision and exposes offending employers to the penalties stipulated under Law No. 6 of 2010.

The authority explained that measures against violators include suspending the employer’s file with the authority until the violation is rectified and the necessary corrective measures are taken. It added that field inspection campaigns are continuing to ensure compliance with the decision and to safeguard workers’ wellbeing.

Under the slogan “Their Safety is Paramount,” the authority also reiterated the importance of employers complying with occupational safety and health requirements and providing a safe working environment for workers throughout the summer.
