PAM raids unlicensed women’s salon conducting medical procedures

The Labor Inspection Department of the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM), in cooperation with the Health Licensing Department, carried out a surprise inspection campaign on women’s salon following reports that medical services were being performed without the licenses.
During the inspection, authorities seized medical devices, equipment, and supplies used for injections, cosmetic treatments, and skin care procedures. It was also found that workers were performing paramedical activities without proper qualifications or authorized medical supervision.
Legal measures were immediately taken against the violators, the facility’s file was closed, and all tools and supplies were confiscated pending further investigation, reports Al-Rai daily.
PAM emphasized that the campaign forms part of the efforts of the joint tripartite committee tasked with regulating the labor market and preventing the misuse of unlicensed establishments for medical or paramedical practices, with the ultimate goal of protecting public health and safety.
The Authority urged citizens and residents to ensure that beauty centers and medical facilities are properly licensed before receiving any services, stressing that violations of laws and regulations will not be tolerated and will result in strict legal accountability.
