PAM opens door for Article 8 work permit reversal requests

The Public Authority for Manpower has announced it will begin accepting applications from employers seeking to reverse the cancellation of work permit notifications for national workers whose citizenship has been withdrawn (Article 8), starting Sunday, May 4, 2025.

Applications will be received during official working hours at the Authority’s main building in the Al-Raqqa area, ground floor reception hall, according to Al-Rai daily.

The Authority has outlined the required documents for submitting the request:

A printed copy of the cancellation request form, available on the Public Authority for Manpower’s official website.

A formal letter requesting the cancellation of the national labor registration notice (work permit), signed by the authorized company representative and accompanied by a copy of the company’s signature authorization.

A copy of the valid civil ID of the national worker for whom the work permit cancellation is being reversed.
