PAM launches new exit permit services for private sector workers via ‘Sahel’ App

The Public Authority for Manpower announced on Thursday the launch of two new digital services aimed at streamlining exit permit procedures for expatriate workers in the private sector.
According to an official press release, workers under Article 18 can now submit a request for an exit permit through the Sahel app, while employers can review and approve these requests via the Sahel Business App, reports Al-Rai daily.
The Authority explained that these services were launched in line with a new directive issued yesterday by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef. The directive mandates that, starting July 1, all private sector expatriate workers must obtain their employer’s approval before leaving the country.
These new digital services are part of the government’s broader effort to enhance regulatory compliance and streamline administrative procedures through e-government platforms.
