PAI withdraws 22 plots of land citing violations of regulations

The Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Industry, chaired by Minister of Commerce and Industry Khalifa Al-Ajeel, held its first meeting on Sunday and approved the withdrawal of 22 industrial and craft plots due to violations of regulations.

In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the authority confirmed the withdrawal of seven industrial plots and 15 craft units from their respective beneficiaries. The decision was based on recommendations by the Permanent Committee for Industrial Violations, reports Al-Rai daily.

The statement detailed the reasons behind the withdrawals, which included — plots remaining closed or inactive; factories not being operated within the required timeframe; lack of seriousness in implementing the approved industrial projects; absence of labor and halted construction or operations and failure to utilize the licensed industrial area as intended.

These violations reflect non-compliance with the conditions and regulations stipulated for beneficiaries of industrial and craft lands.

The authority reiterated its commitment to upholding industry standards and ensuring that lands are allocated only to serious investors who contribute to national development.
