PAHW signs three major contracts to develop Mutlaa and Sabah Al-Ahmad cities

The Public Authority for Housing Welfare announced on Tuesday the signing of three new development contracts designed to enhance infrastructure and essential services in the Mutlaa and Sabah Al-Ahmad residential cities.

Acting Director General Eng. Rashid Al-Enezi said in a statement that the first two contracts cover the construction, completion, and maintenance of infrastructure and public facilities in the N6 and N7 suburbs of Mutlaa City, at a total value of 42.6 million dinars, with a completion timeline of 900 days.

The scope of works includes the construction of 22 key facilities, such as a central market, police station, citizen services building, municipal office, post office, and Ministry of Commerce building, in addition to commercial shops, a community development center, and electrical substations for each suburb.

Healthcare and community services are also a major component. Plans call for a public health center in N6, along with a main health center, ambulance center, and mosque with housing for the imam and muezzin in N7.

The third contract, valued at 4.99 million dinars, involves the supply, installation, and maintenance of underground cables to feed three main 11/132 kV transformer stations in the investment district of Sabah Al-Ahmad Residential City. This project will be completed within 730 days.

The Authority affirmed that these contracts are part of its ongoing strategy to accelerate the delivery of integrated residential cities that provide citizens with modern services and infrastructure.
