PAHW seeks to leverage Chinese expertise in integrated housing projects

The Public Authority for Housing Welfare affirmed Kuwait’s commitment to expanding its international partnerships and benefiting from global expertise, particularly in urban development and housing, stressing the importance of exchanging successful experiences with Chinese companies renowned for implementing integrated development projects.

The statement was issued on Tuesday following the Authority’s reception of a delegation from the China Chamber of Commerce for Overseas Contracting, along with representatives of several Chinese construction and urban development firms, as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation and exchange expertise in housing and urban construction, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to the statement, members of the Chinese delegation expressed their appreciation for the warm reception, highlighting the Chamber’s interest in enhancing cooperation with Kuwait and participating in housing and development projects, as well as exchanging technical and investment expertise in a manner that serves the mutual interests of both countries.

Discussions during the meeting focused on opportunities for cooperation in urban planning and housing project development, in addition to reviewing Chinese experiences in executing major projects, infrastructure works, and the application of modern construction technologies aligned with Kuwait’s housing development plans.

The meeting was attended by PAHW Acting Director General Omar Al-Ruwaieh, Acting Deputy Director General for Investment and Private Sector Projects Engineer Ahmed Al-Ansari, and a number of senior officials from the Authority.
