PACA strengthens international ties, expands air connectivity

The Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing international cooperation and expanding Kuwait’s air connectivity network, to develop the air transport sector and reinforce Kuwait International Airport’s role as a major regional hub.
The announcement came during bilateral meetings held by the PACA delegation with various international representatives at the ICAO meetings in Montreal, Canada.

According to a press release, the Kuwaiti delegation met with the Chinese delegation to review ongoing and upcoming aviation projects in Kuwait.
Discussions focused on encouraging Chinese airlines to operate passenger and cargo flights to Kuwait, as well as leveraging Chinese expertise in airport management and air cargo operations.

The PACA delegation also met with representatives from Brazil to explore the opening of new direct or connecting routes, and with Singapore to discuss promoting direct flights, sharing expertise in airport management, air cargo city operations, and enhancing training and knowledge exchange.
Additionally, the Kuwaiti delegation participated in official ceremonies hosted by Qatar and South Korea honoring international delegations attending the ICAO meetings.
