PAAET introduces new admission rules and health requirements for 2025 – 2026

Failing to confirm admission by Sept. 6 will result in automatic cancellation; KD 20 fee for cancelling admission within one month of classes

Dr. Fawzi Al-Dokhi, Dean of Admissions and Registration at the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET), announced the implementation of new mechanisms and regulations for the 2025–2026 academic year admissions process. These changes are designed to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with academic and health standards.

One of the most notable updates involves stricter requirements for medical-related specializations. Students applying to the College of Nursing, the Nursing Institute, and specific programs at the College of Health Sciences — including respiratory therapy, anesthesia technology, medical laboratory technology, and emergency medical technician — must now submit a health clearance certificate from the Ministry of Health. This certificate must confirm that the applicant is free from HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C.

The required medical examination form, according to Al-Jarida daily, will be accessible on PAAET’s official website, authorized digital platforms, and in-person at admissions halls in the Adailiya area. These requirements also apply to students transferring into or changing majors to any of the specified medical specializations.

Dr. Al-Dokhi emphasized that the disease-free certificate must be presented during the personal interview, and failure to provide it will result in denial of admission.

In terms of admission decisions, a major change this year is that accepted students must confirm their admission electronically as soon as the results are announced. Students who fail to do so by Saturday, September 6 will lose their spot with no option to transfer to another major.

Students who confirm their acceptance but later decide to withdraw may cancel their admission within one month of the start of classes, by mid-October, subject to a KD 20 cancellation fee.
