Over 42,000 Grade 12 students to begin final exams Wednesday

The Ministry of Education has completed its preparations for the twelfth-grade final exams, which are scheduled to begin Wednesday across the science, arts, and religious education streams. A total of 42,417 students will take the exams, with 28,833 in the science stream and 13,584 in the arts stream.
As part of precautionary measures, educational districts have rotated the chairpersons and members of exam committees. Engineering departments have finalized checks on air conditioning, electrical, and lighting systems to ensure exam centers are ready to receive students, reports Al-Rai daily.
In accordance with the Ministry’s procedures, exam papers will be securely transported from the central control center to schools, supported by security forces. Students are reminded to review the list of exam violations posted on the Ministry’s website and are encouraged to uphold fairness and integrity.
To support students, the Ministry has uploaded 1,803 sample tests and 1,745 educational videos to the Student Electronic Library, in addition to various question banks on technical guidance platforms across all academic subjects.
Strict Exam Protocols in Place
A Ministry source confirmed that the exam process remains unchanged. Boxes containing exam papers will arrive at schools by 7:00 a.m. and will be opened just five minutes before testing begins. This follows instructions and secret codes from Mansour Al-Dhafiri, Acting Undersecretary and Director of General Examinations.
National supervisors assigned to each school will oversee all aspects of the exam process — from student entry and inspections to opening boxes, distributing papers, and returning them to the control room. They are also responsible for submitting daily reports on committee operations to ensure accountability.
Comprehensive Readiness Measures
In a statement, the Ministry affirmed its full readiness across all exam committee headquarters, highlighting the commitment of school administrations and educational teams. It emphasized that the goal is to provide a focused environment conducive to student success.
The Ministry extended its best wishes to all students, encouraging them to approach exams with perseverance and determination, stating that “excellence is the result of hard work.”
Oversight and Logistics
To reinforce supervision, the Ministry has deployed 199 national observers to oversee 179 examination committees. These observers submit daily reports to the Minister of Education’s Inspection and Audit Office, ensuring immediate corrective action and adherence to regulations.
Additionally, the Ministry has allocated 217 buses to transport exam materials from the secure printing press to exam locations. These buses are monitored via live electronic tracking systems, allowing real-time oversight and ensuring the secure and timely delivery of test papers.
Support for Families
Recognizing the role of families in academic success, the Ministry urged parents to provide ongoing psychological and emotional support for their children during the exam period. The “Estishir” platform remains available, offering educational and psychological counseling throughout the exam schedule.
