Over 27,000 traffic violations recorded nationwide during week-long crackdown
Juveniles, drug offenders arrested, stolen cars impounded; authorities ramp up road safety campaigns

The General Traffic Department carried out a series of intensive campaigns across all six governorates this week, resulting in 27,265 traffic violations.
The Capital Governorate recorded the highest number of infractions, followed by Ahmadi and Farwaniya, according to news reports,
The GTD also responded to 1,134 traffic accidents, most of which involved material damage without serious injuries.
In a crackdown on illegal driving, 78 juveniles were caught driving without licenses, and 37 were taken into custody for committing serious violations.
The campaigns also led to the impoundment of 273 vehicles.
Beyond traffic offenses, security personnel apprehended four persons found driving stolen cars, 92 residency law violators, and others involved in drug-related activities and abnormal behavior.
The operations highlight continued efforts to enhance road safety and uphold public order across Kuwait.
