Over 100 mln transactions completed via Sahel app since launch

Yousef Kazim, the spokesperson for Kuwait’s unified government e-services application Sahel, announced today the app has completed more than 100 million electronic transactions since its launch on September 15, 2021.
Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Kazim highlighted this milestone as a strong indicator of the app’s growing popularity and the public’s increasing trust in digital government services.
In addition to the transactions, Kazim noted that the number of notifications sent through the application has exceeded 282 million, underscoring the platform’s dynamic interaction with users. He attributed this success to the application’s expanding service offerings and the government’s commitment to digital transformation.
Sahel now provides 454 e-services in collaboration with 39 government entities, according to Kazim. He described this as a significant leap forward, reflecting the high level of inter-agency integration and a collective drive to simplify administrative processes for both citizens and residents. He also praised the participating entities for their ongoing cooperation and dedication to launching user-friendly services.
Looking ahead, Kazim stressed the importance of enhancing the user journey, with a focus on life-stage services such as marriage, residency procedures, and homeownership documentation. These efforts aim to deliver a comprehensive, secure, and reliable digital experience, ultimately raising the standard and efficiency of public service delivery in Kuwait.
