Outpatient clinics resume receiving patients at Jahra Hospital after minor fire

The outpatient clinics at the new Jahra Hospital began gradually receiving patients this morning, after completely containing the minor fire that broke out in the hospital’s basement around 2:00 a.m. due to an electrical short circuit.
Firefighters responded swiftly and effectively, extinguishing the blaze without any reported injuries. A full evacuation of the hospital was carried out as a precaution, with patients transferred to the outer courtyards under the supervision of firefighting, police, and ambulance teams, reports Al-Rai daily.
Abdullah Al Shammari, a patient in Ward C5, praised the evacuation efforts, stating, “The process was quick, systematic, and took place without any chaos.”
Authorities confirmed that the evacuation was conducted calmly and professionally, with a strong security and medical presence to ensure the safety of everyone involved. Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing, as officials work to verify the safety of the hospital facilities and aim to fully restore operations in the coming days.
