Operational unit at Mina Abdullah Refinery hit by enemy drone

. . . resulting in a fire at the site today morning

The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) announced that one of the operational units at the Mina Abdullah Refinery, owned by the Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), was attacked by a drone this morning, Thursday, resulting in a fire at the site.

In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), KPC said that its emergency and rapid response teams immediately began working to contain and control the fire in accordance with the highest approved safety and security standards.

It confirmed that all necessary precautionary measures were taken to ensure the safety of employees and secure the facility.

Earlier this morning, KPC also announced that one of the operational units at the Mina AlAhmadi Refinery, also owned by KNPC, was attacked by a drone, resulting in a small fire with no injuries reported.
