Security sources said the traffic campaign in hospital parking lots aims to monitor violations that obstruct traffic and hinder the work of emergency medical personnel.
They noted that traffic officers used Rasid devices, which confirm the violation, photograph the vehicle, and send the notice to the violator through ‘Sahel’.
The sources explained that some vehicles were blocking areas designated for patients, people with special needs, and the elderly.
They added that the General Traffic Department will carry out similar campaigns in several locations around the clock to curb noncompliant behavior, especially since the new traffic law includes penalties that may result in imprisonment or community service.
