Onathanima 2024 shines with vibrant, colorful celebrations
The event kicked off with a lively cultural procession, followed by the Kuwaiti National Anthem and a heartfelt Smriti Pooja to honor the departed souls.
• Twenty-seven students from Indian schools received the A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Pearl of the School Award, followed by the 18th National Tug of War Competition with 20 participating teams, and a vote of thanks by Onathanima Joint Convener Kumar Thrithala.
Onathanima 2024 was celebrated in a vibrant and colorful manner. The event began with a lively cultural procession, followed by the Kuwaiti National Anthem and the SmritiPooja in honor of departed souls.
The function was presided over by Onathanima Convener Dilip D.K., with Mrs. Usha Dilip welcoming the attendees. Thanima General Convener Jojimon Thomas gave the introductory speech.
Joel Jacob (Executive Admin Manager, United Group of Schools) inaugurated the event. City Group Co. KSCP Group CEO Shri Dr. Dheeraj Bharadwaj delivered the keynote speech to inspire the winners of the Pearl of the School Award.
Mathew Varghese (CEO, Bahrain Exchange), Mustafa Hamza (Chairman & CEO, Metro Medicals Group), K.S. Varghese (M.D., GAT), Muhammad Ali (Operations Manager, Mango Hypermarket), Rana Varghese (ThanimaTreasurer), and Jinu K. Abraham (Thanima Office Secretary) extended their best wishes. Kutti Thanima members Alina Gino, Drishya P. Sangeeth, and Juana Shaji performed a prayer song.
The logo recognizing the Tug of War Federation of India for the Thanima tug of war competition was unveiled by renowned karate athlete Suresh Karthik. Tug of War Federation of India President Hari Shankar Gupta sent his best wishes online.
Shivani Chauhan (Indian International Volleyball Player) handed over the flag to Sports Convener Jins Mathew and flagged off the tug of war competition.
BEC CEO Mathew Varghese and MD of Gulf Advanced Technology, K.S. Varghese, received the ThanimaDirectory from Souvenir Convener Shamon Jacob and launched it.
The tenth anniversary logo and profile presentation of Metro Medical Group were organized. Chairman Mustafa Hamza explained the future plans and public welfare services of the Metro Medical Group.
Dancer Krishna Prasad and CV N Kalari’s Shebi were honored by Thanima for their visual presentations.
