Omanis leave for home via Kuwait, as regional situation deteriorates

The Omani Embassy in Kuwait is continuing to facilitate the evacuation of Omani citizens returning from Iran through the Abdali border crossing, for their onward journey to Muscat via Kuwait International Airport. The process is being carried out in close coordination with the Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other relevant authorities.
Oman’s Ambassador to Kuwait, H.E. Dr. Saleh Al Kharousi, stated 75 Omani nationals — both men and women — have been repatriated so far. Another group of 25 to 30 Omanis is expected to arrive in Kuwait later this evening as part of the ongoing evacuation effort, reports Al-Rai daily.
Dr. Al Kharousi extended his gratitude to the Kuwaiti authorities, especially the ministries of Interior and Foreign Affairs, for their swift cooperation and the comprehensive support provided to Omani citizens at all border points.
This operation comes amid heightened regional tensions, prompting embassies and diplomatic missions to activate emergency plans. Ambassador Hayat confirmed that their emergency response teams are working around the clock under directives from senior leadership.
