Officials referred to audit court after financial violations detected

Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, the Minister of Public Works, has referred several former and current officials at the Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport to the Audit Bureau’s disciplinary court over alleged financial violations. The move followed recommendations from an independent investigation committee formed by the minister, reported Al Qabas newspaper.
Al-Mashaan said the referral reflects the ministry’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and the protection of public funds. She noted that the measures are intended to strengthen administrative and financial discipline across the ministry’s sectors.
