Nowhere to hide. . . Arab men who stole gold jewelry are in police custody

The Farwaniya Criminal Investigation Department and the Khaitan Investigation Division, have arrested two Arabs for stealing gold Jewellery from a residential home.
A security source revealed the men were arrested after the security authorities sought the help of CCTV cameras installed near the house which was targeted by the criminals.
However, the arrest was delayed because the footage quality did not clearly show the faces of the criminals.
The suspects had reportedly stolen a quantity of gold jewelry before fleeing the scene.
Investigators launched an intensive probe and circulated detailed descriptions of the stolen items to local jewelry stores, which helped narrow the search.
A report from one store indicated that two individuals attempted to sell some of the stolen jewelry. While one suspect wore a face mask, the other’s uncovered face aided authorities in identifying him.
Using biometric fingerprint technology, detectives confirmed the identity of the uncovered suspect, who was then arrested at his residence in Khaitan.
He subsequently led authorities to his accomplice, resulting in both suspects’ arrest and detention.
During preliminary questioning, both men admitted to the theft, citing financial hardship as their motive.
The source emphasized that further investigations will explore any links the suspects may have to other unsolved theft cases.
Their arrest underscores the Ministry of Interior’s continued commitment to pursuing criminals, protecting property, and enhancing security in the Farwaniya Governorate.
