No unified premiums across government agencies, says Civil Service Commission

• By 2024-end, attendance and departure fingerprints will be activated for all employees in ministries, institutions, and government agencies within the Civil Service Commission’s automated system, ensuring they receive their full rewards.

Sources informed Al-Anbaa newspaper that the Civil Service Commission has not issued any decisions or instructions to implement or conduct a study on unifying premium business amounts across government agencies.

Sources explained that unifying premium bonuses across all ministries, government agencies, and institutions requires new laws and decisions at each agency’s level. They clarified that the initial step involves canceling the current system, which is based on academic certificates and varies among agencies.

They pointed out that issuing a decision to unify bonuses without canceling the existing one would lead to conflicts, with current employees receiving the old amount and new employees receiving the new one.

Sources also revealed that by the year’s end, attendance and departure fingerprints will be activated for all employees in ministries, institutions, and government agencies within the Civil Service Commission’s automated system, ensuring they receive their full rewards.

Sources stated that this activation aims to implement the annual evaluation according to the bureau’s standards and controls, ensuring employees’ rights regarding the 30% attendance and departure rate. If this rate is achieved, employees will know before the year ends that they will receive their full reward.

The sources stressed that activating the fingerprint connection with the bureau does not aim to deduct employees’ salaries. ‘The bureau has no relation to salary deductions.’
