No rain expected in Kuwait Before Nov 10, says Meteorologist Issa Ramadan

Meteorologist Issa Ramadan predicted that no rainfall is expected in Kuwait before November 10, noting that no cloud formations are currently visible on weather maps, though he expressed hope that conditions might change.

“The sky will remain clear, and the air will be light,” he added.

Commenting on the weekend weather, Ramadan said that conditions will be ideal for outdoor activities and fishing, with slight humidity along the coast. He indicated that maximum temperatures will hover around 35°C, while minimum temperatures will drop to about 29°C. In the desert and agricultural areas of Abdali and Wafra, temperatures may fall to 15°C at dawn and rise to around 19°C during the day, reports Al-Rai daily.

Explaining why temperatures are higher in Kuwait City compared to inland areas, Ramadan attributed this to the “urban heat island” phenomenon, where the city absorbs heat during the day and releases it at night — a situation worsened by traffic congestion.

He emphasized the importance of planting trees to mitigate rising temperatures, noting that “greenery can reduce temperatures by up to 12 degrees Celsius and offers natural protection from heat.”

Ramadan concluded by saying that this week’s weather will be among the best of the season, advising campers to bring a light jacket for the cooler early morning hours.
