‘No Kuwaitis stranded in Iran, return underway via land borders’: Iranian envoy

Iranian Ambassador to Kuwait H.E. Mohammad Totonji said today that there are no Kuwaiti citizens stranded in Iran, and that their return is proceeding smoothly via land border crossings.

Speaking at a press conference held at the Iranian Embassy in Kuwait, Totonji emphasized that the situation for Kuwaiti nationals in Iran remains stable and under control.

He praised the constructive and humanitarian stance of Kuwait’s leadership, led by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in condemning the recent brutal attacks targeting residential areas.

Totonji reiterated that Iran did not initiate the aggression, describing the recent strikes against his country as a blatant violation of the United Nations Charter. He added that the objective behind these attacks is to sabotage diplomatic efforts and further escalate regional tensions.

The ambassador reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to dialogue and peaceful solutions, while expressing appreciation for Kuwait’s balanced and principled positions amid growing instability in the region.
