Night of achievement and artistry as ‘dreams take flight’ at ILOA Annual Day 2025

Indian Learners Own Academy (ILOA) staged a magnificent celebration of talent, achievement and artistic brilliance as it marked its Annual Day on December 4, 2025.

The indoor ground transformed into a vibrant arena of color and excitement, welcoming parents, students and well-wishers to an evening that showcased the school’s journey of excellence and holistic development.

The ceremony opened on a spiritual note with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the Kuwait National Anthem. The school choir added a harmonious touch, setting a dignified and uplifting atmosphere for the celebration.

Principal Mrs. Asha Sharma in her welcome address, acknowledged the distinguished guests whose presence elevated the occasion. Among them were Chairman D. K. Sharma, Sunil Kumar Nanda, and five eminent principals from leading Indian schools in Kuwait, accompanied by ILOA’s Vice Principals and Administrative Manager.

The lighting of the ceremonial lamp marked the formal beginning of the event, symbolizing knowledge, enlightenment and the school’s unwavering commitment to nurturing young minds.

Mrs. Sharma then presented the School Report for the academic year 2024–25, highlighting achievements in academics, co-curricular activities and new initiatives. She praised the students’ dedication, and acknowledged the efforts of the teaching and non-teaching staff who collectively contributed to the school’s continued ascent.

A defining moment of the evening came with the release of the new edition of the school journal, Quest, by Chairman D. K. Sharma. In a visual presentation, the journal was unveiled through a lotus slowly blooming on stage — signifying that education, like the lotus, flourishes through purity, patience and perseverance.

The Prize Distribution Ceremony drew enthusiastic applause as outstanding students were honored across academic and co-curricular categories. Staff members completing five years of service received commemorative tablets in appreciation of their contribution to the school community.

The biggest tribute of the evening was reserved for Board Examination achievers. Kuwait Toppers across Science, Commerce and Humanities were awarded trophies and cash prizes, while the overall School Topper received a 22-carat gold coin. Teachers who produced top results at board, gulf and national levels were also felicitated with certificates and cash awards.

Students who excelled in inter-school competitions proudly received their honors, capturing memorable moments with the Principal and Vice Principals.

Achievements in literary, cultural and sporting competitions further underscored the school’s growing reputation at both national and local forums.

The cultural program enchanted the audience with a rich blend of dance, music and thematic performances, including The Beat Battalion, Poetic Ensemble, Mystic Grace, Grace of the Dragon Land, Fusion Fiesta, The Silent Story and Twinkle Toes. Each presentation reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing creativity and artistic expression.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by the Head Boy and Head Girl, acknowledging the tireless efforts of the management, faculty, students and support staff. The celebration, which was streamed live across the school’s social media platforms, stood as a testament to ILOA’s ever-growing community and its pursuit of excellence.

ILOA’s Annual Day was more than a ceremony — it was a vibrant celebration of dreams, discipline and determination, capturing the spirit of a school where achievements shine and futures take flight.
