US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo applauded on Wednesday Kuwait vital role in solving disputes in the region. In a joint press conference with First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Pompeo expressed that he is looking forward to achieving the goals setup through the third US-Kuwait Strategic Dialogue, including ways to enhance relations on many fronts, like defence, security, fighting terrorism, trade, and education.
The US top diplomat noted that Kuwait is a strong partner to the US in combating terrorism, the So-called Islamic State (IS), Al-Qaeda, and other terrorist organizations. Pompeo added that his country is boosting its efforts to prohibit cyber threats and its dangers, affirming on US commitment to the security of Kuwait.
