Travelers through Kuwait International Airport increased by eight percent in 2018, reaching 14,813,603 passengers as opposed to 13,735,580 in 2017, said a statement on Thursday.
DGCA’s Deputy Director General for Aviation Safety and Air Transport Affairs Emad Al-Juluwi said that flights from and to Kuwait International Airport last year also increased by six percent from 118,135 last year as opposed to 111,641 in 2017.
Commercial flights were at 112,973 in 2018 in contrast to 106,356 in 2017, added the official. He indicated that the volume of cargo increased by three percent with 249.5 million kilograms in 2018. The number was at 241.6 million kilograms in 2017.
