Siddarth Mukerjee, who served as Oriental Insurance Resident Manager in Kuwait from 2014 to 2019 passed away in India after a heart attack.
Mukerjee retired from service last year and had been living in Pune, a city in India’s largest state of Maharashtra.
He started his career with Oriental Insurance Company in 1985 as Assistant Admin Officer at Aurangabad, Maharashtra and was later posted to Gauwhati. He has worked in Eastern, North eastern & Western zones of India. He mastered the various complicated issues involved in general insurance dealing with natural disasters like earthquake, floods etc and got a good grounding about insurance requirements of various Retail and Corporate business enterprises. He also obtained professional Insurance Qualifications and became a Fellow of Insurance Institute of India.
During his tenure in Kuwait, Siddartha developed the business further and helped consolidate the company’s market share. He was well respected and popular among members of the Indian community for his support and participation in several causes.
He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
