Rainfall expected to continue until late night

The Meteorological Department has stated that rainfall is expected to continue until late at night and temperatures are expected to drop as the winds shift to northwest, starting  Sunday morning, with maximum temperatures ranging between 20 to 22 degrees Celsius and the lowest between 8 to 10 degrees Celsius.

Drivers are cautioned on to be careful especially on the highways due to decreased visibility. The weather bulletins, alerts and warnings should be followed through the meteorological department’s smartphone apps, as well as through their social media accounts and the site of the meteorological department.

People are also requested not to pay attention to rumors on weather forecasts and warnings should be read only from official sources. The Meteorology department is the only official body responsible for announcing weather forecasts, warnings and reports.
