Kuwait and Gulf Link Transport Company (KGL) has been evicted from state-owned land by Ministry of Interior officials serving a court notice.

The court had ordered the eviction of KGL from the one million square meter government land for using the property illegally, and for its return to the Kuwait Ports Authority from whom it had been leased..

The move was lauded by MP Majed Al-Mutairi who affirmed that relevant parliamentary committees had investigated this issue and submitted recommendations to the government, after discovering several violations by the company.

The parliament, he said, lauds such a decision as the legislature is always fighting against misuse of state properties and public funds.
