The Criminal Court sentenced blogger Saqr Al-Hashash in absentia to 5 years in prison with hard labor following a conviction of violating State Security Law and Cyber Crimes law. He is currently out of Kuwait, according to Al-Seyassah.
He was earlier referred to the court by the Public prosecution on charges of posting statements deemed offensive to the Amiri entity on his Twitter account, an offense attracting a prison term of 80 years.
