New system demands three lists for job-seeking citizens

A candidate who declines nomination by two different government agencies forfeits their position in the central employment system and reverts to being a first-time registrant

  • If a citizen expresses interest in multiple government agencies and is nominated for one but subsequently rejected, they transition from the list of new registrants to the list of refusals.

Sources speaking to Al-Anbaa newspaper emphasized the necessity of establishing three lists for job-seeking citizens under the new government employment system.

According to the system’s rules, a candidate who declines nomination by two different government agencies forfeits their position in the central employment system and reverts to being a first-time registrant. This measure is taken to maintain the ranking of rejected candidates.

Sources explained that the first list includes new citizens seeking work and those desiring positions in ministries, institutions, and government agencies.

They added that the second list is designated for rejected candidates, nominated by the bureau for a specific government body but denied appointment by that body for various reasons. This is especially notable as, under the new recruitment mechanism, the bureau lacks the authority to enforce appointments across ministries, institutions, or affiliated entities.

Thus, rejections under these circumstances do not count against candidates, who still retain the right to be nominated for two government entities.

Continuing, the sources clarified that individuals who decline offers from the agency for which they were nominated are listed on the third roster.

This means that if a citizen expresses interest in multiple government agencies and is nominated for one but subsequently rejected, they transition from the list of new registrants to the list of refusals.

At this point, they have one final opportunity for nomination before their application is terminated, and they revert to being a first-time employment registrant.
