New Kuwait airport terminal ‘T2’ set to open in two years
The new airport project aims for completion with the highest standards and has already attracted leading international airlines.

Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, the Minister of Public Works, announced that the new passenger terminal ‘T2’ will open within two years. She highlighted the project’s high completion rate, noting that electricity has been connected and most issues and obstacles have been resolved, the Al Qabas newspaper reported.
Al-Mashaan stated in a newspaper interview that she had coordinated with the Ministry of Interior, the Kuwait Fire Force, the National Cyber Security Center, the General Administration of Civil Aviation, the Kuwait Oil Company, and other relevant authorities to address all obstacles facing the new airport project. She also noted that biweekly meetings are held with these agencies.
Al-Mashaan referred to the directives of the political leadership and His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister, in providing absolute support for the new airport project, ensuring its completion to the highest standards. The project has successfully attracted top international airlines.
She noted that the Prime Minister also expressed his support for all of the country’s development projects that align with Kuwait’s Vision 2035 and the completion of the development plan with the highest quality. She further highlighted the continued efforts to accelerate the pace of the new airport project, ensuring its timely completion within the established schedule.
