New bridge near Avenues complex to open in just 10 days

The project addresses one of the main obstacles facing road users in this region and will help ease traffic congestion in the area.

Project No. 266 aims to find innovative engineering solutions to reduce congestion and facilitate vehicle movement in the irrigation area, enhancing citizen comfort and improving service levels on main and internal roads.

The General Authority for Roads and Land Transport is finalizing bridge construction around the Avenues complex, which is expected to open within the next ten days, sources informed Al-Anba newspaper.

The sources explained that this project, designated as No. 266, includes the construction, completion, and maintenance of roads, bridges, and other services linking the Fifth Ring Road, Al-Ghazali Road, and Mohammed bin Al-Qasim Street.

They pointed out that the main objective of the project is to develop the road system surrounding the Avenues complex, including a set of bridges, as well as an overhead wrap bridge, which will help ease traffic congestion in the area. The sources added that these actions address one of the main obstacles facing road users in this region.

Sources indicated that the project included the development of several important sites, such as the intersection of Al-Ghazali Road with the Fifth Ring Road, the Fifth Ring Road towards Jahra between the Airport Road and Al-Ghazali, the road linking Airport Road No. 55 with the Fifth Ring Road towards Jahra, the internal road between No. 2 and the proposed service road parallel to the Fifth Ring Road, the road linking the Fifth Ring Road and Al-Ghazali Road towards Shuwaikh, and the intersection of the fifth ring with Mohammed bin Al-Qasim Street.

The sources confirmed that the project aims to find innovative engineering solutions to reduce congestion and facilitate the movement of vehicles in the irrigation area. This will enhance the comfort of citizens and improve the level of service on the main and internal roads, such as the Fifth Ghazali Road and the circular road.
