Nearly 1,900 appeals settled by Cassation Court in one month

The Court of Cassation ruled on 1,878 appeals during January, according to official statistics released by the Supreme Judicial Council.

In a statement published Thursday on its “X” platform, the council disclosed that 867 appeals were decided by the morning circuits, 174 by the criminal circuits, 357 by the evening circuits, and 480 by the appeals review circuits.

During the same month, the Court of Cassation also received 1,066 new appeals, reflecting the continued high volume of cases before the country’s highest court.
