NCCAL warns of strict action against non-compliant stand-up comedy shows

The Assistant Secretary-General for the Arts Sector at the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL), Musaed Al-Zamel, affirmed that the Council will take strict measures against companies producing stand-up comedy shows that fail to comply with the licensing regulations and laws governing public morals.
Al-Zamel told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Tuesday that the NCCAL “will not show leniency in enforcing the rules and regulations,” emphasizing that penalties stipulated by law will be applied to any entity that violates the Council’s instructions or presents content that contradicts public values and morals.
He stressed that the purpose of these measures is to ensure the presentation of high-quality artistic performances that respect public taste and reflect the image of responsible Kuwaiti art.
