Nazaha refers 87 people to Prosecution over financial disclosure violations

The Public Authority for Combating Corruption (Nazaha) announced that it has referred 87 persons subject to financial disclosure regulations to the Public Prosecution for submitting inaccurate declarations or failing to file them within the legally prescribed deadlines.

In a statement, the Authority said the action followed a detailed review of financial disclosure forms submitted by individuals covered under the law.

The review process included verification of data through relevant official bodies and monitoring compliance with statutory timeframes, reports Al-Rai daily.

Nazaha stated that discrepancies were found in the information provided by some individuals, while others failed to submit their declarations on time. These violations prompted the Authority to proceed with legal referral in accordance with anti-corruption and financial disclosure regulations.

The move underscores Nazaha’s continued efforts to enforce transparency, strengthen accountability, and ensure adherence to financial disclosure obligations among those subject to the law.

The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to upholding integrity standards and applying legal procedures against violations to protect public funds and reinforce public trust in state institutions.
