Nationwide security sweep, 192 in police custody

The General Department of Residence Affairs Investigations in Kuwait conducted a major security campaign across all governorates, resulting in the arrest of 192 individuals, including violators of residency laws and individuals wanted for various offenses.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, the campaign comes under the directives of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef and under the supervision of Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry, Major General Ali Misfer Al-Adwani as part of the country’s ongoing efforts to enhance security and enforce the rule of law, reports Al-Rai daily.
The campaign focused on several densely populated areas known for violations, including Jahra, Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Mahboula, Al-Qurain Markets, Ahmadi, and Fahaheel.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to continuing these efforts to apprehend violators of residency and labor laws, emphasizing that both employees and employers involved will face legal consequences.
The authorities have warned that no leniency will be shown to lawbreakers, as part of a broader strategy to stabilize the labor market and uphold public order.
