National debt relief campaign raises 387,000 dinars in 24 hours

Just 24 hours after its launch, Kuwait’s “Third National Debt Relief Campaign” to pay the debts of “Gharimin” received an overwhelming response from donors and benefactors. By noon on Saturday, contributions had reached approximately 387,000 dinars, which were generously provided by 5,768 donors.
An official source at the Ministry of Affairs informed Al-Qabas, that around 1,000 citizens were registered in the central aid system under the Gharimin category on the first day of the campaign itself.
The campaign was launched immediately after Friday prayers yesterday, 14th March, and is set to run for a full month under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Affairs, in collaboration with charities and humanitarian organizations.
Importantly, the campaign aligns with the national strategy to localize charitable efforts, and also follows the directives of the political leadership to strengthen social solidarity, support financially struggling citizens, and ease their financial burdens.
