Black boxes hidden in clothing shipment from Gulf state raise suspicion at customs warehouse

The General Administration of Customs has announced, as reported by Al Jarida, that the Customs Warehouses Department has foiled an attempt to smuggle around 100,000 narcotic pills hidden in black boxes concealed inside a clothing shipment arriving from a Gulf country.
According to the department, inspectors grew suspicious of the shipment belonging to a wholesale and retail company.
Upon inspection, they discovered approximately 315 boxes hidden beneath garments, containing capsules suspected to be narcotic or psychotropic substances.
Samples of the contraband sent to the General Department of Criminal Evidence, confirmed the substances as listed under controlled psychotropic drugs. The case has been referred to the competent authorities.
