Municipality suspends new licenses for temporary event tents
Citing preventive measures, the Municipality emphasized the suspension will remain in effect until further notice as authorities continue to monitor the evolving situation.

The Kuwait Municipality announced on Saturday the temporary suspension of new licenses for the establishment of event tents and wedding halls until further notice.
In a press statement, the Director of Public Relations and official spokesperson for the municipality, Mohammed Al-Sundan, said the decision was issued through a circular by the Director-General of Kuwait Municipality, Manal Al-Asfour.
Al-Sundan explained that the measure was taken in accordance with a circular issued by the Ministry of Interior, as part of precautionary steps adopted in light of the current circumstances in Kuwait and the wider region, reports Al-Rai.
He called on individuals and entities that have already submitted applications for new event tent licenses to cooperate with inspection officials in the public hygiene and road occupancy departments across the municipality’s branches in all governorates until resumption of the issuance of such permits.
The municipality emphasized that the suspension will remain in effect until further notice as authorities continue to monitor the evolving situation.
