Municipality removes 29 abandoned vehicles, issues 34 violations

The Public Cleanliness and Road Occupations Department of the Kuwait Municipality, Mubarak Al-Kabeer branch, carried out a wide-ranging inspection campaign in residential areas to enhance public hygiene and remove obstructions.

The campaign resulted in the removal of 29 abandoned items, including vehicles, scrap cars, mobile vehicles, and boats. In addition, 34 citations were issued for public cleanliness violations and unauthorized road occupations.

The municipality also served 51 removal notices concerning abandoned vehicles and illegally placed commercial containers.

As part of its efforts to improve public infrastructure, 35 outdated waste containers were replaced with new ones.

In a statement, the Public Relations Department of the Municipality emphasized that the inspection tours are part of a broader initiative to elevate standards of cleanliness, eliminate visual pollution, and prevent the improper disposal of waste.

The campaign also targeted the cleaning of beaches, main roads, and internal streets.

The Department confirmed that inspection teams will continue intensifying their fieldwork across all governorates to monitor violations and enforce the municipality’s laws, ensuring a cleaner and safer environment for residents.
