Municipality removes 124 illegal camps
. . . issues 100 warnings in spring camping areas

The spring camping committee of the Kuwait Municipality has removed 124 unlicensed camps and which were built in violation of the designated camping zones.
Of these camps, 87 were in the southern region and 37 in the northern region. The committee also issued 100 warnings and two citations to street vendors operating without authorization.

The municipality stated that the committee launched its operations under the directives of the Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, Abdul Latif Al-Mashari, along with the guidance of the Municipality’s Director General, Manal Al-Asfour, reports Al-Rai daily.

The campaign was carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, the General Fire Force, and the Environment Public Authority.
The Public Relations Department affirmed that teams from the spring camping committee will continue inspections across all camping sites to ensure the absence of illegal camps and to enforce municipal regulations and decisions.
