Municipality once again targets violators of shop, advertising, health licenses

The Public Relations Department of the Kuwait Municipality has announced the launch of the second inspection campaign for June, by the audit and services monitoring teams across various regions.

This ongoing campaign is aimed at verifying the validity of shop licenses, advertising permits, and health licenses, while ensuring full compliance with municipal regulations, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The campaign, led by the Audit and Follow-up Department of Municipal Services of the Farwaniya Governorate, is part of field efforts to detect violations and apply all necessary legal and supervisory measures.

Talal Al-Aqab, Director of the Audit and Follow-up Department, stated that the campaign underscores the department’s commitment to monitoring commercial activity and addressing any regulatory breaches through direct field visits.

He stressed that his team is paying particular attention to repeat and serious violations, especially in vital areas such as the Al-Ardhiya Industrial Area.

During one of the field inspections, the supervisory team issued 17 violations, which included posting advertisements unrelated to the licensed business activity, operating with an expired health license and running a business without a valid health certificate.

Al-Aqab emphasized that such violations threaten public health and disrupt commercial order, and that all necessary actions will be taken to bring offenders into compliance.

The campaign will continue throughout June and the Municipality has urged all business owners to review their licenses and adhere strictly to regulations to avoid penalties.
