Municipality launches ‘Our Beaches Are Beautiful’ campaign to clean island shores

The Kuwait Municipality’s Public Relations Department has launched a new cleanup campaign titled “Our Beaches Are Beautiful,” to preserve the cleanliness of Kuwait’s island beaches and raise environmental awareness among the public.

The campaign, which highlights the importance of community involvement, seeks to promote responsible behavior among beachgoers and safeguard the country’s marine environment from the harmful effects of littering, reports Al-Rai daily.

Mohammed Al-Sindan, Director of the Public Relations Department and official spokesperson for the municipality, urged the public to actively participate in the initiative, stressing that social responsibility plays a vital role in ensuring the success of such awareness campaigns.

Al-Sindan noted that with a growing number of visitors to the islands, protecting their natural beauty and biodiversity has become even more crucial.

He called on visitors to cooperate with the island cleanup teams by properly disposing of waste and using the trash containers provided throughout the islands.

The campaign reinforces Kuwait Municipality’s commitment to protecting the environment and enhancing the overall visitor experience on its marine islands.
