“Municipality” launches awareness campaign for road and street cleanliness

Kuwait Municipality announced today, Sunday, that the inspection teams in the ‘General Cleaning and Road Occupation Departments’ have begun their field campaign to raise the level of cleanliness of roads and streets in all governorates of the country, during the months of November and December.

Saad Al-Khurainj, Director of the General Cleaning and Road Occupation Department in Ahmadi Governorate, announced that the intensive campaign aims not only to clean the streets but also to monitor violators and take legal action against them.

Al-Khurainj stressed that the inspection teams pay great attention to raising the level of cleanliness in general, by cleaning the highways, main and internal streets, and removing all waste or whatever that distorts the general view in the areas.

Furthermore, Al-Khurainj explained that the inspection team’s field campaigns led to the cleaning of expressways, including King Abdulaziz Al Saud Road, by removing sand and waste.

In conclusion, Al-Khurainj pointed out that center supervisors regularly monitor cleaning efforts across the governorate, ensuring the removal of obstacles from roads. He also stressed that inspection teams would take legal action against anyone violating the General Cleanliness and Road Occupations Regulations.
