Municipality activates enhanced safety and rapid response measures across Kuwait
600 workers, 71 centers placed on alert as Municipality strengthens readiness for emergency support

In response to the current regional situation, Kuwait Municipality has activated an integrated emergency plan in close coordination with relevant government agencies.
The plan aims to ensure the uninterrupted field operations of the Public Hygiene and Road Occupancy Departments, under the directives of the Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Housing, Abdul Latif Al-Mashari, and with direct supervision from the Director General of the Municipality, Engineer Manal Al-Asfour.
The municipality has 71 cleaning centers across the six governorates, supported by around 600 workers. Equipment and machinery have been strategically stationed in residential areas rather than storage sites, enabling rapid deployment for any emergency support operations requested by other government agencies, reports Al-Rai daily.
Each cleaning center has approximately 10 workers, supported by drivers, vehicles, and equipment ready for immediate use. Worker safety measures have also been enhanced, with the entry time for machinery and unloading of containers shifted from midnight to 1 a.m.
Main roads and street occupancy centers swiftly remove abandoned or obstructive vehicles to maintain smooth field operations.
The municipality continues to receive reports and complaints 24/7 via WhatsApp (24727732), the 139 Municipality app, and the government Sahel app, ensuring prompt action.
