Municipal Committee approves donation for multi-story parking project in East District

The Capital Governorate Committee of the Municipal Council has approved a real estate company’s donation to construct a multi-level parking facility in Block 7 of Kuwait City’s East District.

The donation also includes the development and beautification of nearby public squares.

The committee, chaired by Dr. Hassan Kamal, also approved the Ministry of Justice’s request to renew the land allocation for the Family Court project in Granada, Block 3, within the Capital Governorate, reports Al-Rai Arabic daily.

Additionally, it endorsed amendments to the parking boundaries to prevent overlap with the Jahra Road right-of-way.

In the same session, the committee approved the Ministry of Interior’s request to reassign part of site G1 to the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy for the establishment of a main transformer station.

Meanwhile, the committee decided to retain on its agenda the proposal by member Engineer Abdul Latif Al-Daai concerning the temporary allocation of a pedestrian walkway in Block 7 of Kaifan.

Relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Public Works, the Ministry of Interior, the Municipality’s Organization Department, and the Capital Governorate branch of the Municipality, will be invited to discuss the proposal further.
