Multiple ballistic missiles targeting Ali Al-Salem Air Base, intercepted by Kuwaiti defences

The spokesman for the Ministry of Defence, Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Atwan, announced that the Ali Al-Salem Air Base was targeted by multiple ballistic missiles earlier today.

Colonel Al-Atwan confirmed that Kuwaiti air defense forces successfully intercepted the incoming missiles, resulting in shrapnel and debris falling in the vicinity of the base.

The General Staff of the Army emphasized that the armed forces continue to carry out their duties in defending the sovereignty of Kuwait and responding to any threats to national security and stability, reports Al-Rai daily.

The authorities have urged citizens and residents to avoid any debris or remnants resulting from the interception, warning against touching or approaching such objects and advised that such incidents should be reported immediately to the relevant authorities.

The Ministry of Defense stressed the importance of relying solely on official sources for information and refraining from circulating rumors or unverified news.

Meanwhile, His Highness the Amir received a telephone call from the Saudi Crown Prince to discuss the developments.

Additionally, the College of Technological Studies announced that its shelters across colleges and institutes are ready to handle emergency situations.
