MPW working group completes mission, submits report to Al-Rashidi

The Ministry of Public Works disclosed that the specialized working group tasked with restructuring the ministry in accordance with its new organizational framework has completed its mission and submitted a comprehensive report to Undersecretary Eid Al-Rashidi.
According to the sources, the report includes a detailed inventory of all vacant positions, as well as current administrative, technical, and support staff, and outlines their redistribution in alignment with the ministry’s revised structure and operational needs, reports Al-Jarida daily.
The working group also reviewed all original supervisory roles and presented recommendations for their reassignment and rotation to better serve the ministry’s strategic objectives. Furthermore, all vacant supervisory roles were identified in preparation for future announcements.
The report also confirmed that previous decisions related to supervisory assignments were evaluated, and necessary steps have been taken to reissue them in line with the approved structure.
As part of the reorganization, the Ministry of Public Works confirmed the new hierarchy will include a full-time undersecretary, two assistant undersecretaries—one for technical affairs and one for financial and administrative matters—and two general managers responsible for overseeing different sectors of the ministry.
In a related development, the Central Agency for Public Tenders has requested that the ministry provide updated amendments related to two road construction practices—one in the southern agricultural region and the other in the northern region—before proceeding with the approval process.
