MoU signed with Saudi Arabia, a platform for sustainable media partnership: Dr. Al-Muhaisen

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, Dr. Nasser Al-Muhaisen, affirmed on Tuesday that the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia marks a significant step forward in strengthening media partnership and cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

Dr. Al-Muhaisen, who heads the Coordination Committee for Culture, Media, Tourism, and Social Development on the Kuwaiti side, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the MoU, signed during the recent meeting of the Kuwaiti-Saudi Coordination Council, supports the exchange of programs, as well as technical and creative expertise.

This, he said, will enhance media content and broaden the scope of professional cooperation in radio and television production.

He emphasized that the agreement aims to deepen Gulf media integration through collaboration in joint productions, expert exchanges, organization of seminars and workshops, training programs, and mutual development of broadcasting and production technologies.

Dr. Al-Muhaisen described the memorandum as a “practical platform” for activating a sustainable media partnership that strengthens the role of Gulf media in supporting national and Arab causes, while embodying the spirit of cooperation between the Kuwaiti and Saudi peoples.

He further noted that the Coordination Committee has been developing several key initiatives in recent months covering areas such as joint media production, cultural and tourism collaboration, academic exchange, and youth and social programs — all aimed at achieving greater integration and alignment between the two sides.

Al-Muhaisen added that efforts are ongoing to bolster cooperation across a wide range of fields, including culture, media, tourism, education, sports, youth, health, social development, and human resources, through the continuation of existing initiatives and the introduction of new ones.

These new initiatives, he explained, will expand the horizons of the strategic partnership between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, promote academic and scientific collaboration, and reinforce media and cultural ties, reflecting the depth of the historic relations uniting the two nations.
