Mongolian meat all set to arrive in Kuwait next week

H. E. Sergelen Purev, the Ambassador of Mongolia to Kuwait, said that the East Asian country will begin exporting certain agricultural products to Kuwait next month to support food security.

• Several Kuwaiti companies, along with their Qatari counterparts, signed a deal with Mongolian companies to start exporting sheep, cows, and camels to both countries.

His Excellency Sergelen Purev, the Ambassador of Mongolia to Kuwait, announced that the export of halal Mongolian meat to Kuwait and Qatar is set to begin next week.

In a statement to Al-Rai newspaper, he explained that several Kuwaiti companies, along with their Qatari counterparts, have signed an agreement with Mongolian firms to start exporting sheep, cows, and camels to both countries. The meat will be transported via a chartered plane.

He also revealed the completion of talks between the two countries to start exporting certain agricultural products to Kuwait, such as potatoes, carrots, and onions, beginning next month to support food security in Kuwait. He noted that his country is simultaneously seeking to import some fruits from Kuwait due to lower shipping costs.

The ambassador mentioned that next April will mark the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Kuwait, adding that the embassy plans to hold several cultural events to commemorate the occasion, including a folklore concert, a fashion exhibition, and an official reception.
